Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated nurses to join a specialized adult medical/surgical unit that caters to patients with co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic environment.
- Utilize med/surg and psychiatric nursing skills to assess and manage complex patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Adapt to changing patient requirements and care strategies as needed.
Job Requirements
- Active RN License (New York License ONLY)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
- Experience in psychology is required
- Telemetry experience is preferred
Certifications
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
Opportunities for Advancement
Nurses in this unit will be eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after fulfilling the experience requirements.
