Med Surg RN – Travel Assignment

Schedule & Pay
Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
3×12 Hours
36 or 48 Hours/Week Guarantees Available
Rate: $88/hr
Overtime: Not billable until after 48 hours
Weekend: Every other weekend
On-Call: None
Unit Details
- Basic Medical-Surgical Unit
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
- EMR: Epic
- Dress Code: Ceil Blue scrubs
- Floating: Required — candidates must be willing to float
- Temp-to-Perm: Possible
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of employment or Compact RN license
- BLS certification through AHA required
- 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
- BSN preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including:
- Assessment
- Diagnosis
- Planning
- Intervention
- Evaluation
- Provide routine and complex care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness and side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess patient and family learning needs
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other healthcare providers
- Identify patient needs, concerns, and available resources
- Manage changing clinical situations and patient care needs

The RN should demonstrate independent clinical judgment, effective communication, flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to provide safe and compassionate care in a Med Surg environment.
