**Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - MedSurg - Surgical Specialty Unit (SSU)** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - 20 private beds for personalized patient care - Patient Ratios: 4:1 total patient care, 5:1 with a patient care tech - Supportive staffing with 1 tech and 4-5 nurses on the floor - **Equipment Utilized:** - Alaris IV Pumps - CADD epidural - Alaris PCA - Pyxis Medication Dispensing Machine - Telemetry and EKG machines - Bladder scanner and wound vacs - Capnostream machines and SCD Pumps - **Documentation System:** - Medi tech for efficient record-keeping - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every 3rd weekend - Two Mondays and Fridays per 4-week scheduling period - **On Call Requirements:** - Eligible candidates must adhere to on-call duties as needed - **Qualifications:** - Must have Med-surg experience - Advanced skills in post-operative care - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Ostomy management and irrigation - NGT placement and management - Foley catheter placement and maintenance - Central line management, JP drains, and wound management - IV starts and blood administration - Nutritional supplementation, including TPN and G/J tubes - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - **Dress Code:** - Royal Blue tops with Black or Royal Blue bottoms - **Rewards and Recognition:** - HCA Unit of Distinction for Med-Surg 2021 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
