Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical team. This position requires a combination of teamwork, collaboration, and exemplary communication skills to provide quality patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing Description: Includes Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Case Management.
• Equipment Utilized: Walkers, IV pumps, SCDs, and more.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule, including participation in holiday rotation.
• Floating Policy: Staff may float as necessary.
• Patient Experience Requirements: 72%, utilizing communication boards.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: Must possess a valid RN license and demonstrate teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in medical-surgical nursing, with advanced skills in managing various respiratory diseases, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips.
• Preferred Experience: Experience with oncology and general surgery patients is advantageous.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
