Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg & Pediatrics night shift position requiring Level I Trauma experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work on the Med/Surg & Pediatrics W3 unit in a 385-bed Level I Trauma hospital
  • Level II pediatric trauma center and Level III NICU facility
  • Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Night shift schedule, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Possible on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active MN RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license application is in process)
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • Minimum 3+ years of Med/Surg experience required
  • Level I Trauma center experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations required
  • Compact license not accepted
  • Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to specialty required
  • 2 supervisory references with employment dates required
  • Candidates with prior work history at this health system or affiliated facilities must disclose this on their resume

Additional Information

  • Provide holistic nursing care following the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Develop and revise patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and delegate appropriately
  • Participate in shared decision-making and contribute to practice standards and environment of care
  • Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code
  • MN DHS Net Study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
  • All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored after submittal
  • Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers subject to adjusted pay rate
