- Shift Schedule: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, and every other holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200-$2,320
- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Size: 15 private rooms
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 days; 6:1 nights
- Floating: May float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Current BLS certification through AHA
- Active RN license eligible for submission; willing to wait for licensure if needed
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced acute care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for general medical and surgical patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Complete initial admissions and ongoing care for patients awaiting transfer to their assigned unit
- Monitor patient status, identify changes in condition, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in EPIC
- Administer medications and therapies safely using available unit equipment and resources
- Collaborate with peers and support floating assignments across Med/Surg areas when needed
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a dynamic hospital nursing environment
