Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a full-time night shift position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

  • Adult Med-Surg unit setting
  • Full-time night shift schedule, 6:00pm to 6:30am
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Every third weekend required
  • Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

  • Active IA or compact RN license required
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • BLS and ACLS certification required through the American Heart Association
  • No prior experience required, though preferred
  • Resume and two recent employment references required for consideration
  • Proof of immunizations required, including MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, and annual flu vaccination
  • Negative 2-step Mantoux (TB test) within 1 year of start or QuantiFERON Gold required
  • Proof of physical exam within 1 year of start date required
  • 10-panel drug screen within 1 month of start date required
  • Respiratory fit test within 1 year of start date required
  • Criminal background check covering all states of licensure/residency within the past 7 years required
  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for total patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs
  • Directs and guides patient teaching and ancillary personnel activities while maintaining professional nursing standards
  • Completion of CareLearning education modules required prior to start
  • Pay period runs Monday through Sunday
