Unit Overview:
Join a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit specializing in respiratory illnesses, tracheostomy care, and chronic ventilator patients. This fast-paced unit provides care to patients requiring specialized respiratory support.
- 28-bed Med/Surg Respiratory Unit
- Patient Ratios: 1:5–6
- Floating Required
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients with respiratory conditions.
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and chronic ventilators.
- Perform blood draws/phlebotomy as part of patient care.
- Float to other units as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
- Recent experience caring for trach and chronic ventilator patients
- Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy (blood draw) experience
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (Required)
- Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months (Required)
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- LTACH experience is preferred
Submission Requirements:
- Interview Required (Please provide candidate availability)
- Resume must clearly show Epic and phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
- Maximum 7 days of RTO
- No RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
- No block scheduling requests
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Solid Black Scrubs Required
