Facility: South Brooklyn Health – NYC Health Hospitals

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3x12 hours | 36 hours/week

Job Description
Seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an acute-care hospital setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large acute-care hospital
- Most recent Med/Surg experience within the past year
- Active New York State RN license with Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS required
- AHA ACLS required for Queens assignments
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, infection control, and post-operative care
- Telemetry monitoring experience required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong patient education and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Administer medications and monitor patient response
- Provide post-operative care and wound management
- Start IVs and manage catheters and other nursing procedures
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the healthcare team
