Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for an Orthopedic unit position requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Ortho unit (6C)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• May float to other Carle Health hospital locations including Methodist, Young Minds, Pekin, and Proctor
• Epic EMR charting required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including admission assessments, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards
• Support the professional development of peers and collaborate with colleagues
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than one year without a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
