Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care in alignment with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Nursing. Utilizing Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health. Care is tailored to meet the physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients. The RN demonstrates competency by applying scientific knowledge from social, biological, and physical sciences to the nursing process and ensures care is consistent with the interdisciplinary plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of acute care experience.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
• Associate Degree or BSN accepted.
• Active CA RN License.
• Current AHA BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
• Experience with manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency and productivity.

Additional Information:

• Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment.
• Accountable for meeting or exceeding unit and organizational goals for patient satisfaction.
• Ability to investigate and assist in resolving physician, employee, and patient complaints.
