Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Illinois, or confirmation that the Illinois license application has been initiated
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and complete 36 hours per week
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, assessment, and patient-care skills
• Ability to complete required screening and facility onboarding processes

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Perform patient assessments, monitor for changes, and promptly communicate clinical concerns
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing colleagues, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
• Support safe transitions of care and promote positive patient outcomes
