GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Opportunity:
RN - Medical/Surgical
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Staff scheduled 3 shifts per week with self-scheduling and block scheduling allowed
• Weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; night shift weekends are Friday or Saturday
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
• Nurse aide support available with 3 aides staffed on days and 3 during nights at a ratio of 1:8-12
• Charge nurse always available and charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
• Common patient diagnoses include respiratory conditions, infections, wounds, diabetic conditions, GI issues, drug and alcohol withdrawal, and suicidal ideation
• Required to titrate drips including insulin and heparin
• Respiratory therapy equipment available on unit including High Flow, BiPap, and CPAP
• Telemetry monitoring handled by techs reading strips from a remote location; RNs are not required to read their own strips
• May float to other Medical/Surgical units
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs
• Up to 3 full orientation shifts provided as needed
• Cancellation policy: 2 per 13-week assignment
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility location
