Opportunity:
RN - Medical Surgical
Job Details:
• Must be 50+ miles from the facility
• Work on a 36-bed Medical-Surgical unit located on the 3rd floor of the South Tower
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units based on staffing and patient care needs
• No on-call requirement
• Scrub color: Royal blue for nurses
• EMR system: Medtech
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS required prior to submission
• Preferred experience: Cardiac telemetry, cardiac catheterization recovery, stroke care, chest tube management, and cardiac infusion experience
• Perform IV starts, cardiac rhythm surveillance and escalation, post-catheterization access-site and neurovascular assessments, radial band management, chest tube care, monitoring cardiac infusions, PCA pump care, and stroke/neuro assessments
• Work with equipment including IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, enteral feeding pumps, BiPAPs, Vapotherms, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and continuous telemetry monitoring
• Ideal candidate is positive, adaptable, team-oriented, ready to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced cardiac/stroke environment

This facility operates a busy Medical-Surgical unit specializing in cardiac and stroke care, staffed with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and unit clerks. The unit maintains a comprehensive approach to patient care with access to advanced medical equipment and technology to support a wide range of cardiac and medical-surgical patient needs. The experienced team fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment for traveling healthcare professionals.
