Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 1 trauma center in Rock Island, IL, requiring both IL and IA RN licensure.

Details

  • Surgical/Orthopedic Med Surg unit at a Level 1 trauma center
  • 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM start time
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Patient ratio of 5-7 patients
  • May float within the same discipline across local campuses
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required at time of submission
  • IA RN license also required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg, Post Op, or Stepdown experience required
  • Surgical or post-op surgical experience required
  • One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required
  • Driver's license and valid work history/resume required
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required

Additional Information

  • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
  • Must not have been employed by the facility within the 12 months prior to submission
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for travel rate eligibility
  • Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
  • Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods
  • At least one completed travel contract preferred, though first-time travelers may be considered
