Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Telemetry unit requiring an active MA RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

  • Telemetry unit providing care to patients with critical or life-threatening cardiac conditions
  • Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
  • Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
  • Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
  • Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • 13-week assignment with night shift hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no pending or conditional licenses accepted)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA preferred)
  • Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
  • NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license

Additional Information

  • Responsible for recognizing and assisting patients experiencing shock or other life-threatening complications
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates accepted with permanent residence within 60 miles of Boston, subject to adjusted rate
  • Candidates must provide RTO information at time of consideration
