We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to adult patients in an acute hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong bedside nursing skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess patients, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other physician-ordered interventions.
- Monitor vital signs, labs, patient status, and changes in condition; promptly escalate concerns.
- Perform wound care, pain management, and other routine nursing procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
- Support a positive patient experience while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Colorado – Required
- 2 years of relevant Med-Surg/acute-care RN experience preferred
- Specialty certification for the applicable specialty area preferred.
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS certification required upon hire or within 6 months
- Strong assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
