• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to other Medical/Surgical units within scope
• Charting System: Cerner
• Orientation: Orientation provided prior to start; day one includes virtual orientation tasks

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Cerner experience required
• Experience with MS/Tele and telemetry monitoring
• Strong skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care
• Experience with renal, urology, and nephrology patients preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with high patient turnover
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide charge support as needed
• Must be comfortable with floating within the Med/Surg service line

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients with a focus on urology and nephrology cases
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Support post-operative care, renal failure management, and pre/post hemodialysis needs
• Perform IV therapy, blood product administration, line care, and phlebotomy as needed
• Assist with respiratory interventions such as oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and chest tube management
• Provide wound care, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration, including heparin
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as required by facility needs
• Step into charge responsibilities when needed and appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and professionalism
