Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,970–$2,080
- Assignment Dates: November 30, 2026 – February 27, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Shift: 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license; verification of all active RN licenses may be required
- At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Previous stroke stepdown or neurological nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required; certification may be completed before the start date
- Recent resume, specialty skills checklist, and required licensure and identity documentation
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical stroke stepdown setting
- Assess and monitor patients experiencing stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis needs, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, pulmonary conditions, and other medical-surgical diagnoses
- Manage patients requiring isolation precautions and complex care interventions
- Use and monitor specialty equipment, including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
- Recognize changes in neurological and overall patient status and communicate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Float to other appropriate units when requested and support continuity of care across the department
