Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 3x12 night shift contract requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit on the 3rd/4th floor of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Schedule consists of 3x12 shifts only; 48-hour weeks not available
  • Cares for an assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
  • Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Workers may extend only once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
  • Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no flexibility for start date changes
