Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital position requiring at least one year of experience and an Oklahoma or compact RN license.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit located on the 3rd/4th floor of a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
  • Cares for an assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
  • Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
  • Trauma and travel experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
  • Monitors and observes physiological data and intervenes as needed
  • Communicates care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Credentialing and onboarding must begin immediately due to strict compliance deadlines
  • 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this position
