Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Experience in acute care, medical-surgical nursing, or adult inpatient care preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and weekends as scheduled
• Ability to care for a varied adult patient population in a hospital setting
• Experience with Cerner EHR preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to other Med/Surg units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse with a focus on safety, comfort, and positive patient outcomes
• Care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, and end-of-life patients
• Support patients requiring telemetry monitoring, respiratory treatments, and select drips as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Document accurately in Cerner and maintain thorough clinical records
• Adapt to both clean and monitored patient assignments as needed in the acute care environment
• Float to other Med/Surg units when required to support patient care needs
