Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent telemetry nursing or med-surg experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience required
- Active New Hampshire RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner preferred, but not required
- Ability to successfully complete onboarding requirements, including a dysrhythmia exam
- Strong assessment, telemetry interpretation, and medication administration skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult telemetry and med-surg patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Support patients and families with clear communication and education
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork during night shifts
- Adapt to a dynamic acute care environment while providing excellent patient-centered care
