Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical unit in Weirton, WV. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate RNs to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a contract position with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services to patients with various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients with common diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness.
• Monitor vital signs, perform blood glucose monitoring, and assist with EKGs.
• Administer medications and titrate drips as required, with exceptions for cardiac drip titration.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists for equipment management and monitor respiratory treatments.
• Participate in patient care activities including bathing, feeding, toileting, and turning and positioning patients.

Requirements:

• Current RN License and BLS certification are required.
• 1 year of nursing experience is mandatory; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Must comply with the 50-mile radius rule and provide a copy of a valid driver's license at the time of submission.

Additional Information:

• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5-7 on days, 1:6-8 on nights.
• Charge nurses are present on each shift and may take patient assignments.
• Patient care techs are available with a typical ratio of 1:10-12.
• Orientation includes one day of educator/computer system training and one day with a preceptor.
• Scrub colors: Navy blue for RNs, Ceil blue for PCTs.
