Job Requirements

• Current RN license in Wyoming or a valid multi-state RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to care for adult medical-surgical patients, with occasional pediatric/adolescent patients as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and time management skills
• Comfort working in a flexible environment and floating as census requires

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions in accordance with nursing standards
• Record patient information, vital signs, and clinical updates accurately and on time
• Monitor specialized equipment and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Deliver bedside care for pre-operative, post-operative, and general medical patients
• Perform treatments such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts as needed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery, and home care needs
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment
• Participate in discharge planning and respond to urgent or life-saving situations when required
• Document care thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
