Job Requirements

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Education verification required
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and provider orders
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record, following policy and standards of care
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient response and clinical goals
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Support unit performance improvement efforts and shared governance activities
• Use critical thinking and strong clinical skills to promote patient safety, positive outcomes, and timely escalation when needed
• Provide support to other inpatient units when floating is required
