**Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurses!** **Job Description:** * Shift: Nights 7PM - 7AM * Start: ASAP * Required Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: - BLS certification from AHA required - RN License in state of employment or compact * Weekend Requirement: - 2 to 4 shifts in a month (rotated between staff) * On Call Requirement: - Not required but may be asked if census rises * Floating Requirement: - Will float to all Med/Surg departments under supervision * Nurse / Patient Ratio: - 1:5-6 * EMR Used: - EPIC * Dress Code: - Grey Scrubs **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served. * Ensure that quality care is provided safely and efficiently, aligned with unit standards of care. * Obtain and record initial assessments to prioritize patient needs. * Perform systematic re-assessments to track patient progress and trends. * Develop and implement individualized plans of care within Nursing Standards of Care. * Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning. * Document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan. * Performs various Point of Care testing procedures. **Staff Responsibilities:** * Utilize effective communication strategies for optimal outcomes. * Delegate tasks effectively to support patient care activities. * Coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs. * Participate in orientation of new staff/students. * Serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff, maintaining a professional demeanor. * Foster a positive work environment and collaborate with others for team success. **Customer Relations:** * Create high levels of patient satisfaction and promote positive relations. * Maintain effective communication and teamwork. * Support hospital credibility, integrity, and positive image through professional behavior. **Other Responsibilities:** * Assist with special projects as assigned. * Comply with all Human Resources Policies and Procedures. * Adapt readily to changes in the work environment. * Maintain a positive attitude, even during stressful periods. * Assume responsibility for professional growth and development. * Comply with all patient and environmental safety policies and procedures. **Requirements:** * Education: - Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. * Certification/Licenses: - Current RN license in New Mexico or current Compact state license - BLS Certification required * Skills: - Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served - Sensitive to patients’ rights in care delivery - Clear and concise communication skills **Work Schedule:** * 7PM - 7AM **Work Type:** * Full Time **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
