Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Active Illinois RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with Med/Surg and MS/Tele patient care required
• Cerner experience required
• Strong clinical foundation and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Willingness to work every other weekend and support float assignments as needed
• Comfortable caring for adult patients with a variety of medical and post-operative needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult med/surg patients with a focus on urology and nephrology cases
• Provide care for patients with renal failure, kidney stones, post-operative urology needs, and kidney transplant recovery
• Monitor telemetry, respond to changes in patient condition, and assist with rapid response situations as needed
• Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy-related tasks within scope
• Support respiratory interventions such as CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and oxygen therapy
• Perform wound care, isolation precautions, and catheter/drain management
• Assist with flow and coordination in a high-volume unit and work charge as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes
