Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg - Transplant Nephrology unit requiring MO or compact RN licensure and recent specialty experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment on the 6W Transplant Nephrology unit at a Level 1 trauma hospital
• 20-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• 7a-7p shift schedule with 3 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Agency/contract nurses float first per facility policy
• Unit staffed with unit secretary, PCTs, and unit educator support
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Care focus includes med/surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, and dialysis patients (dialysis performed off-unit)

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg or related specialty
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements

Additional Information

• Provide med/surg nursing care on a transplant nephrology unit
• Virtual nurse supports patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on other patients
