Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Carlsbad, NM | Inpatient Medical-Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:6
  • Care for occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the unit
  • Utilize the MedHost EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
  • Float within the unit as required per facility needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • BLS certification required
  • Candidates must be submitted only through agencies registered with the State of New Mexico — fingerprinting is required for all New Mexico travelers and may take several weeks to process

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • ACLS certification preferred
  • PALS certification preferred
  • Experience with MedHost EMR
  • Comfort caring for non-critical pediatric patients in a general med-surg setting
