This travel Med/Surg RN job offers the chance to work with a collaborative clinical team while caring for a diverse patient population on a well-supported inpatient unit. • Schedule Notes: 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule with holiday rotation
• Floating: Participation in unit float rotation

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
• Experience with respiratory conditions, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions preferred
• Oncology nursing and general surgery experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor patients, assess changes in condition, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards and physician orders
• Support patient education and promote a positive patient experience
• Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, PCTs, and case management
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit policies and hospital standards
• Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on quality care
