**Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - Med-Surg (Night Shift)** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - **Unit:** Med-Surg - **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM - **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hrs/week - **Start Date:** 12/14 **Unit Information:** - **Location:** Tower B, 4th Floor - **Number of Beds:** 24 - **Staffing:** 7 Team Members - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs or LPNs, 2 PCTs, 1 Unit Clerk - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs or LPNs, 2 PCTs - **Patient Ratios:** 6:1 - **Equipment:** BLS, NIHSS - **EMR System:** Meditech **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting - Manage and perform clinical procedures: - PIV insertion, management, and removal - Central line management and removal - Foley catheter insertion, management, and removal - NG tube insertion, management, and removal - Drain management and removal - Wound care and ostomy management - Continuous bladder irrigation - Chest tube management - Conduct EKGs **Essential Qualifications:** - Prior inpatient acute care experience is required - Basic dysrhythmias knowledge essential - Preferred: Experience working in a trauma center **Equipment Utilization:** - Alaris IV pumps - Hoyer lifts, Sarah Steady - Feeding pumps - Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machines - iMobile - Vein Finder - Virtual Admission RN (10 AM - 10 PM) **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Royal blue - Acceptable Attire: Black pants allowed **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
