Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750–$1,840
• Location: Cambridge, Ohio
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Unit: 25-bed medical-surgical unit with an average daily census of approximately 18 patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients, with flexibility to 1:6 as needed
• Charting: Epic electronic medical record (EMR)
• Orientation: Approximately 12 hours

Medical-Surgical Travel RN Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any state or a compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Recent Epic charting experience
• Experience with isolation precautions, IV starts and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, and total joint replacement care
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
• Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Complete focused and head-to-toe assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress
• Monitor telemetry and promptly identify and respond to dysrhythmias or changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and provide care for patients requiring ongoing IV therapy
• Implement infection prevention measures and appropriate isolation precautions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy services, respiratory care, pharmacy, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families, coordinate transitions of care, and promote safe discharge planning
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced inpatient environment
