Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Unit (Days & Nights, Weekends Only)

Job Description

Join our dedicated team on a 33-bed med-surg floor with 16 telemetry monitors. Our unit prides itself on maintaining a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure quality patient care. We care for a diverse patient population including orthopedic (total knees and total hips), bariatric patients (gastric sleeves and gastrectomies), as well as patients with CHF, COPD, TIAs, and cardiac cath interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on the med-surg floor
• Monitor and manage telemetry readings with the support of charge nurses
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care

Schedule

This position requires working weekends only, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. We offer flexibility with scheduling, allowing options for every other weekend or as per your availability. Various shift options are available including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Valid nursing license
• Experience in a med-surg setting is preferred

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
