Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

Work in the Medical-Surgical Combination unit (Floor 5A) of an academic community hospital
24-bed unit serving patients of all ages
Patient ratio of 1:6
Uses Meditech EHR system
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend or as needed weekend requirement
On-call as needed
Floating as needed

Requirements

Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
Current certifications: BLS, Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC, available on-site), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
Must consent to random drug screening and complete a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form

Additional Information

Facility is a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cath labs, and a day surgery center
Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
Professional demeanor expected on the unit
Scrubs of any color accepted; no casual attire allowed
Must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
