Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong teamwork and communication skills, along with relevant experience in medical-surgical nursing.

Position Details

  • Unit Name: 4east
  • Number of Beds: 30
  • Patient Ratios: 1:6
  • Equipment: Walkers, IV pumps, SCDs, etc.
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling Requirements: Four weekend shifts per 28-day schedule; participation in holiday rotation required.
  • Floating Policy: Staff may rotate among units as needed.
  • Patient Experience Requirements: Achieve a patient experience score of 72% by utilizing communication boards.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current RN license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in medical-surgical nursing, with exposure to respiratory diseases, renal diseases, GI illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, and IV heparin drips.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong teamwork, compassion, and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Dress Code

Required uniform consists of navy blue scrubs.
