Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Start Date: October 27, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
  • Weekly Hours: 36
  • Schedule Highlights: No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts
  • Orientation: 28 hours
  • Float: May float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a valid compact RN license
  • At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or comparable telemetry nursing experience
  • Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NIHSS certification
  • Successful completion of a cardiac rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and a perfect score on lethal rhythms
  • Strong experience caring for emergency department boarder patients in an ED or ASU setting
  • Ability to float to Med/Surg Tele units when needed
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Ability to complete required onboarding modules, laboratory testing, and documentation appointments within the designated compliance timeframes
  • Two supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, may be required

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele and emergency department boarder patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and promptly escalate concerns
  • Complete focused and comprehensive assessments, medication administration, treatments, and patient education
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary support services
  • Document patient status and care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Prioritize care for multiple patients in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Float to Med/Surg Tele units and support changing patient-care needs as assigned
