Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Unit Information

This medical-surgical unit specializes in orthopedic, neuro, and pediatric care.

• Number of Beds: 30 (with potential to increase to 36)
• Number of Staff: 45 employees
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6
• Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, MedFusion pumps, SCDs
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Must Have:
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent communication skills
• Preferred:
  • PALS certification and ability to care for pediatric patients
  • Familiarity with post-operative orthopedic care

Typical Procedures Performed

• Post-operative care for orthopedic and spine surgical patients
• Podiatry patient care
