• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770

• Unit Highlights: 23 beds, 1:4-1:5 patient ratios, unit secretary and patient care tech support

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale experience helpful
• Ability to adapt quickly and float to other Med/Surg level-of-care units as needed
• Comfort working with post-op ortho, trauma, and neuro overflow patients

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality bedside care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients, trauma patients, and some neuro overflow
• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding to support excellent patient experience
• Monitor and manage patients requiring traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support workflow and patient needs
• Float to other Med/Surg units such as general Med/Surg, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma when required
• Maintain professionalism and follow unit policies while delivering compassionate nursing care
