Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• NIH certification or experience is helpful
• Comfort working in a busy trauma, post-op, and acute care environment
• Ability to float to other medical-surgical level-of-care units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients
• Support trauma patients and some neuro overflow cases
• Monitor and manage patients using equipment such as traction, fixators, and cooling devices
• Complete bedside shift reports and hourly rounding to promote a strong patient experience
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support efficient patient flow and excellent outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg units when needed based on unit needs
