Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring Med/Surg experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit (4East)
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Unit supported by Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management
  • Uses standard Med/Surg equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, and SCDs
  • Documentation system is Meditech
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00PM - 7:00AM
  • 4 weekend shifts required per 28-day schedule
  • Falls into holiday rotation
  • Floating required as part of unit rotation with other staff

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TN or compact) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Med/Surg experience required, including care for respiratory, renal, and GI conditions, telemetry, CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
  • Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills required
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri)
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg patients with a variety of medical conditions
  • Utilize communication boards to support patient experience goals
  • Navy blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
