Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit (Med Surg A4)
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating within the hospital required as needed

Requirements

• Active LA state or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs required
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Orientation includes a virtual first day followed by two on-site days with additional EMR training
• Must disclose any license disciplinary actions at time of consideration
• Candidates with recent professional cancellations will undergo additional review prior to consideration
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Holiday RTO requests should be kept to a minimum
• Local candidates are not accepted and permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the facility
