Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 7P-7A night shift position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent hospital Med/Surg experience.

Details

  • 7 North-Spine unit with 18-20 beds and a staff of approximately 35
  • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-3 PCTs
  • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs
  • Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
  • Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
  • Uses Meditech EMR
  • 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule

Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent hospital Med/Surg experience required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Burn care experience preferred
  • Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients
  • Team-oriented, positive personality fit preferred
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
