Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

  • Medical unit setting with 77 beds
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8 for nights
  • Night shift schedule on a 13-week contract
  • Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation
  • Required to work various shift lengths and days with flexibility expected
  • May float to the Laulima Unit or Cardiovascular Unit
  • Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

  • Active HI RN license required by start of assignment (may apply upon offer acceptance if not already held)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • 2-10 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical unit handling adult Med/Surg cases
  • Professional nursing attire required
  • Orientation time provided for each unit
  • All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, requiring arrival in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning appointment
