• Position: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Schedule Notes: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Charting System: Meditech
• Floating: May float within facility Med/Surg areas as needed
• Unit Size: 12 beds
• Patient Ratio: 5-6 patients per nurse

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Strong team-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a busy acute care hospital environment
• Comfortable using Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
• Willingness to support weekend coverage and floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to standards of practice
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional presence with patients and families
• Support unit flow and contribute to a positive team environment on a brand-new medical-surgical unit
