Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least one year of Med/Surg experience.

Details

  • Work in the Med/Surg unit of a 32-bed hospital floor at a Level IV trauma facility
  • Patient ratios of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
  • Uses Baxter infusion pumps
  • MedHost EHR experience preferred
  • Day and night shift options available
  • Weekend commitment of 6 shifts within a 6-week schedule
  • No call requirements
  • Will not float to other units

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg experience required
  • Associate Degree of Nursing required
  • Experience caring for post-ortho, COPD, DM, CHF, and ESRD patients preferred
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients with a variety of diagnoses
  • Black scrubs required per facility dress code
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
