Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Roanoke, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a 33-bed adult Med Surg unit with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking skilled RNs with experience in Med Surg and Rehab settings to join our dedicated team.

Position Overview

As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with various diagnoses, including SCVA, SCI, TBI, amputee, and multi-trauma. The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, which may flex up to 1:7, ensuring that you can provide personalized attention to each patient.

Scheduling Details

• Shift hours: 3x12s, days, 7a-7p
• Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: No
• Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state

Required Certifications

• BLS
• CRRN preferred
• CPI Blue Cert highly preferred

Required Clinical Skills

• Experience in Med Surg and Rehab settings
• Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and tanks, and isolation precautions

Unit Details

This hospital is across the street from CRMH, and nurses are required to float to CRMH if needed (MS only -- 11W, 10W, 9W, and 5W).
