Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 21-bed medical/surgical unit
• Patient population includes renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
• Serves patients ranging from young adult through late adult (18-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Works within a variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns, with the RN assuming full responsibility for team patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• May be required to float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, census, and acuity
• Notified in advance before any scheduled float assignment

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Assumes full responsibility for assigned patient team
• Works alongside LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns as part of the core staffing plan
• Radius rule applies which may reduce pay rate for local candidates depending on facility location
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• COVID vaccination is not required for this assignment
