Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• 21-bed Med/Surg unit serving renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
• Patient population ranges from young adult through late adult (ages 18-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Works alongside a variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with the RN assuming full team responsibility
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• May float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, census, and acuity, with advance notice provided before any float shift

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Provides full nursing care responsibility for assigned patient team on the unit
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate depending on distance from the facility
