Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg & Inpatient Rehab position requiring a VA or compact RN license and Med Surg/Rehab clinical experience.

Details

  • 33-bed adult Med Surg unit (no telemetry) specializing in inpatient rehab and medical surgical care
  • Common patient diagnoses include SCVA, SCI, TBI, amputee, and multi-trauma cases
  • Patient ratios of 1:6, may flex up to 1:7
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7a-7p
  • Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
  • Floating required to CRMH Med Surg units (11W, 10W, 9W, and 5W) as needed
  • EPIC charting experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active VA State or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state
  • BLS certification required
  • CRRN certification preferred
  • CPI Blue certification highly preferred
  • Experience in Med Surg and Rehab settings required
  • Skilled in peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and tanks, and isolation precautions
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a combined Med Surg and Inpatient Rehab setting
  • Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
  • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
